| Description: | L-3 Communications, Applied Signal & Image Technology (L-3 ASIT) is seeking a Sr. System/Project Engineer for our Linthicum Heights, MD location. The Sr. System/Project Engineer will be responsible for the design, development and system engineering of passive airborne, mobile, shipboard and ground-based signal intelligence (SIGINT) Products and Systems. The primary responsibilities include: requirements analysis and flow down; functional decomposition; defining, coordinating and overseeing trade studies and leading system and design acceptance analysis; performing risk assessments and developing risk mitigation plans. This position is also responsible for operational analysis and concept of operations development. The Sr. System/Project Engineer will be responsible for leading small, diverse engineering teams and providing technical leadership. This includes all technical engineering documentation, system and substation designs and for ensuring customer satisfaction. |
| Duties: | • Responsible for design, development and system engineering management of passive airborne, mobile, shipboard and ground-based signal intelligence (SIGINT) Products & Systems.
• Handles all requirement analysis, flow down and design synthesis.
• Performs functional decomposition; defining, coordinating and overseeing trade studies and analysis.
• Performs risk assessments and develops risk mitigation plans.
• Performs operational analysis and development.
• Provides leadership and direction to diverse engineering teams in design and development.
• Coordinates all test planning and execution of requisite performance analysis and characterization.
• Responsible for coordinating the programs system engineering effort within planning, scheduling and cost estimation.
• Oversees system design, requirements generation/tracking, implementation, integration and test and delivery, including field testing when applicable.
• Responsible to document or to ensure accurate and timely documentation of systems design and systems interfaces.
• Responsible for developing (or overseeing) engineering test plans, testing, analysis of test data and development of test reports.
• Ensures development of training materials when needed.
• Responsible to maintain all appropriate project management documentation and to ensure compliance with target dates.
• Provides consistent and accurate communication to all involved parties regarding project status.

| Qualifications: | • BS in Electrical Engineering required (MSEE strongly preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years prior systems/project engineering experience is required.
• Experience in SIGINT Product development is required.
• Experience with airborne system development preferred.
• TS clearance required. TS/SCI clearance preferred.
